Used to seal the differential cover or pan covers
Loctite 5970 sealant is used by BMW to seal differential covers. In many cases BMW has stopped producing standard asbestos free gaskets and instead recommends the use of this chemical sealant. If you remove the differential cover for any reason this gasket will be required in order to reseal it to the differential housing.
Loctite 5970 provides superior flexibility and adhesion while also providing an instant seal. It features excellent fluid resistance and is also no corrosive.
